What do I use StarPower for ? 

1.   Powering Starlink Gen 3 if your Router has failed. 

• ✅ Use the original Starlink Gen 3 power pack that ships with the router for direct compatibility with the StarPower V4. The Starlink Gen 3 uses a specialised power & data delivery standard that our StarPower will provide in place of the router. 

• ✅ Alternatively, select one of our 57V power packs, available in bundles, providing a reliable alternative or backup power source.

With StarPower V4, your Gen 3 terminal stays powered efficiently, ensuring continuous operation wherever you use it.

2.   Powering Starlink Gen 2 if your Router has failed.

Many Gen 2 users experience router failures, leading to disruptions in connectivity and costly replacements.

Instead of upgrading the entire system, StarPower V4 provides a practical and budget-friendly alternative:

What you need: 

• ✅ Use our 57V power pack to power the Starpower if you don't already own a 57v power supply. 

• ✅ Then Use our Gen 2 SPX <> RJ45 adapter to plug your Gen 2 SPX cable into the StarPower V4 dish port. 

• ✅ Then Use a RJ45 patch cable to plug the StarPower V4 data port into a LAN port on the Starlink Router Mini. (Included with any Router option)

• ✅ Then select a Router : We bundle the Starlink Router Mini. The Starlink Router Mini will work natively in your Starlink App, but you can also choose other 3rd party routers if you have an existing wifi mesh network or other network infrasrtucture in place.  If you require other implementation support with a 3rd party router, our sister company Spacetek IT can assist for a fixed fee.

⚠️ Compatibility Warning – Starlink Gen 2 Ethernet Adapter : StarPower V4 cannot be used in conjunction with the Starlink Gen 2 Ethernet Adapter.
Gen 2 installations must use the Gen 2 SPX → RJ45 adapter when connecting to StarPower V4.

Alternatively you can modify your Starlink cable to RJ45 using shielded plugs. 

3.   Powering Starlink Mini & using a 3rd Party Router

For Starlink Mini users, StarPower V4 ensures a reliable and efficient power solution to the Starlink Mini, allowing you to by-pass the Starlink power supply and use a 3rd party router in by-pass mode.

• ✅ Select the "Injector with 57v Power Supply" option to use Starpower with Starlink Mini however you will also require: 

• ✅ A POE splitter (purchased separately to this bundle) will allow you to plug the Starlink Mini into the Dish port of the StarPower, and then using an RJ45 Patch Cable, connect the StarPower V4 into a 3rd party router. 

• ✅ Select "Injector with 57v Power Supply & Router " option to use the Starpower V4 with the Starlink Mini and our reccomended router the Starlink Router Mini

Router Bypass & Business-Grade Router Integration

One of the biggest advantages of StarPower V4 is its ability to bypass the default Starlink router, giving users full control over their network setup:

Bundle Options & Variants

Choose from six different configurations based on your Starlink setup:

1️⃣ Injector Only (BYO Power Supply) – Includes only the StarPower POE injector, perfect for users who already have their own power supply.

2️⃣ Injector with 57V Power Supply – Includes the StarPower PoE injector and a 57V power supply, providing a complete power solution for the StarPower.

3️⃣ Injector with 57V Power Supply and Gen 2 Adapter – Adds the Gen 2 SPX adapter, allowing Gen 2 users to integrate a Starlink Router Mini or another third-party router while bypassing the failing Gen 2 router.

4️⃣ Injector with 57V Power Supply and Gen 2 Adapter and Router – Includes a Starlink Router Mini, providing a full networking upgrade with Gen 2 router bypass capability.

5️⃣ Injector with 57V Power Supply and Router – For users who need the StarPower PoE injector, 57V power supply, and a Starlink Router Mini but do not require a Gen 2 adapter. For Example, Starlink Mini users, or Starlink Gen 3 users. 

6️⃣ Injector with Router (BYO Power Supply) – Includes a StarPower PoE injector and Starlink Router Mini, ideal for users who already have their own power supply but need a new router setup.

Installation & Safety Instructions

⚠️ To avoid damage, always ensure that the power source is connected before switching on the unit.

Step 1: Connect the power supply or external power source to the StarPower V4 unit.
Step 2: Verify that all connections are secure and properly fitted.
Step 3: Power on the unit only after confirming all cables are correctly connected.
Step 4: If using another third-party router, follow the manufacturer’s setup instructions, otherwise, add the Starlink Router Mini within your Starlink App. 

Following these steps helps prevent damage, ensuring reliable and consistent power delivery to your Starlink system.

💡  Important Note on Configuration Support

Our routers and networking devices are intended for DIY installation and are supplied with standard plug-and-play default settings. If you require assistance with non-default configuration—such as changing the WiFi network name (SSID), updating WiFi passwords, setting up VLANs, bridging, static routing, or integrating with third-party equipment a configuration service fee of $185 will apply by SpaceTek IT & Communications. This fee covers the first 1.5 hours of support, which is sufficient in most cases. The fee is payable in advance and must be arranged prior to any support being provided.
