The Spacetek Heavy Duty Shielded CAT5E Patch Lead is designed for tougher networking and Starlink-style installations where shielding, conductor size and PoE reliability matter more than having the thinnest possible cable.
This is the heavier-duty option in our short patch-lead range. It uses stranded 24AWG conductors, shielding and a UV-tolerant jacket, making it better suited to demanding installs than slim 28AWG patch leads.

CAT5E Rating, CAT6A-Style Construction
This cable is sold as CAT5E because it does not include the internal plastic spline normally associated with full CAT6A certification. In practical construction terms, it is built closer to a robust shielded CAT6A-style patch lead than a basic CAT5E cable.
That makes it a good choice when you want the confidence of a heavier shielded patch lead without overcomplicating a short Starlink or network connection.
