A UPS is a backup battery for your Starlink power supply. When mains power drops out, it automatically keeps your Starlink running so you can stay online during short outages, brownouts and unstable power.

The CyberPower Value Pro UPS also helps protect your Starlink and networking equipment from power surges and voltage fluctuations.

Which UPS should I choose?

Think of the UPS size like a fuel tank: the bigger the model, the longer it can keep your Starlink running.

Not sure? Choose the 1200VA. It is the best middle option for most Starlink home setups.

How it works

1. Plug the UPS into your wall power.
2. Plug your Starlink power supply/router into the UPS.
3. If the power goes out, the UPS automatically switches to battery backup.
4. When mains power returns, the UPS recharges itself.

Works with:
Starlink Gen 3 / Standard 4, Gen 2, Flat High Performance and any AC-powered Starlink setup. Indoor use only.

Not for:
Direct DC vehicle setups unless your Starlink system is running from a 240V AC inverter.

VP1000ELCD — Entry Capacity

1000VA / 550W

Suitable for short outages and basic backup, such as a single Starlink system or simple networking setup. A good option for maintaining connectivity during brief power interruptions, brownouts and storms.

VP1200ELCD — Recommended Mid Capacity

1200VA / 720W

The best balance of price, runtime and headroom for most Starlink home setups. Suitable for a Starlink system with additional networking equipment such as a router, mesh node or switch.

VP1600ELCD — High Capacity

1600VA / 960W

Best for users who want the longest backup time or extra capacity for multiple connected devices. Suitable for Starlink systems combined with additional networking equipment or other critical electronics requiring extended uptime.

Installation overview

1. Place the UPS in a dry, ventilated indoor location.
2. Connect the UPS to a grounded AC mains outlet.
3. Allow the battery to fully charge before first use. We recommend charging for at least 8 hours.
4. Connect critical devices, such as your Starlink power supply/router, to the battery-backed outlets on the rear of the UPS.
5. Power on the UPS and confirm the load using the LCD display.
6. Once charged, the UPS will automatically switch to battery backup if mains power drops out.
7. Optional: install monitoring software via USB if required.

Indoor use only: This UPS is not weatherproof and should not be used outdoors or in damp environments.

All CyberPower Value Pro UPS units are backed by a 2-year manufacturer warranty.

This covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions and provides assurance for long-term reliability in critical power applications. Warranty support includes repair or replacement of faulty components in accordance with CyberPower’s support policies.
