CyberPower Value Pro UPS - Line Backup Power (VP1000 / VP1200VA / VP1600VA)

The CyberPower Value Pro UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) series provides line-interactive uninterruptible power protection for Starlink systems, networking equipment and other sensitive electronics on AC power.

Designed for Australian power conditions, these units regulate voltage fluctuations and provide battery backup during outages. 

The VP1000, VP1200, and VP1600 models offer scalable capacity for different load requirements. Each unit includes automatic voltage regulation (AVR), surge protection, and LCD status monitoring for real-time system feedback.

Starlink Runtime Guidance

This is estimated runtime (with a single Starlink system only, no additional load):

Starlink Gen 3 (V4 / Standard 4 & 4x) (~75–100W typical draw)

  • VP1200VA: ~40–60 minutes
  • VP1600VA: ~60–90 minute 

Starlink Gen 2 (~50–75W typical draw)

• • VP1000: ~45–70 minutes
  • VP1200: ~60–90 minutes
  • VP1600: ~90–130 minutes
    

Model Options Overview

The CyberPower Value Pro range is available in three capacity tiers. Each model provides the same core functionality, with increased runtime and load capacity as you move up the range.

VP1000ELCD – Entry Capacity  - 1000VA/550W
Suitable for single-device backup such as a Starlink system or basic networking setup. Provides shorter runtime for maintaining connectivity during brief outages inlcuding storms. 

VP1200ELCD – Mid Capacity - 1200VA/720W
Balanced option for users running a Starlink system with additional devices such as routers, switches, or small office equipment. Offers extended runtime compared to the VP1000.

VP1600ELCD – High Capacity 1600VA/960W
Designed for higher load environments or longer runtime requirements. Suitable for Starlink systems combined with multiple networking devices or critical equipment requiring extended uptime.

Installation Overview

1. Place the UPS in a dry, ventilated indoor location.
2. Connect the UPS to a grounded AC mains outlet.
3. Allow full battery charge before first use (minimum 8 hours).
4. Connect critical devices directly to the Cyberpower unit's (e.g., Starlink router and dish power supply) battery-backed outlets (on the rear of the unit)
5. Power on the UPS and confirm load via LCD display. All devices should now be powered on.
6. After the UPS has charged, cut the mains power and watch all your devices stay online! 
7. Optional - Install monitoring software if required via USB connection.

Warranty

All CyberPower Value Pro UPS units are backed by a 2-year manufacturer warranty. This covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions, providing assurance for long-term reliability in critical power applications.

The warranty includes repair or replacement of faulty components in accordance with CyberPower’s support policies.
