The Spacetek Starlink Recessed Data Socket creates a neat, weather-resistant cable entry point for caravans, RVs, canopies, service bodies and large vehicles. Before choosing the shape or backing-plate option, first match the connector style to your Starlink system.

This is a non-structural recessed interface coupler for routing a compatible Starlink data or power connection through a wall or panel. It helps keep the connection tidy and serviceable, but the final seal depends on correct installation, panel condition and suitable sealing for the surface.

Choose Your Starlink Model First

Use the Model, Shape and Option selectors in this order so you do not choose the wrong socket for your installation.

1. Model: choose Starlink Gen 3 (Only), Starlink Mini (Only), or Universal RJ45 (Gen 2 & Others) to match your Starlink device and connector type. Please note that Gen 2 systems require a modified cable or RJ45 adaptor. 

2. Exterior Shape: choose Square or Round to suit the available flat surface area and the exterior look you want.

3. Interior Finish : choose With Backing Plate if the other side of the socket will be visible inside your van (For a neat finish). Otherwise you may also option for a RJ45 wall plate (with an additional short length RJ45 patch cable) 

Model Compatibility Guide

• Starlink Gen 3 (Only): for Starlink Standard (Gen 3 / V4) RJ45-style cable installations. This is the current Standard model family, sometimes described as Standard Kit, Standard 4 or V4 and the socket caters for the waterproof cable glands that comes on the Starlink Cables.

• Starlink Mini (Only): for Starlink Mini DC power pass-through installations where the Mini power connection needs to pass through a caravan, canopy, vehicle or power-box panel.

• Universal RJ45 (Gen 2 & Others): for modified Gen 2, networking or other RJ45 pass-through setups where your connector type matches the socket. This version is flat faced and allows a standard RJ45 latch clip to be inserted into the socket (and detached easily)

If you are unsure whether your Starlink cable or modified setup matches one of these options, contact Spacetek before ordering or cutting the panel.

Square or Round Face

Square and round versions perform the same core job. Choose the face shape that best fits your panel layout, available flat surface area and preferred exterior finish.

• Square suits flat-panel installs where the square faceplate aligns cleanly with the surface.
• Round suits installs where a round face is easier to position or better matches the surrounding hardware.

Backing Plate or No Backing Plate

The backing plate option adds support behind the wall and is recommended when the panel is thin, flexible, uneven or likely to benefit from more clamping area as well as providing for a neater finish on the inside of the vehicle.

• Creates a cleaner Starlink cable entry point through a caravan, RV, canopy, service body or equipment panel.

• Lets the connector sit partially inside the wall cavity to reduce snag risk compared with a loose external cable end.

• Keeps the connection point accessible for inspection, service or cable replacement.

• Helps protect the connection from weather, dust and accidental knocks when installed and sealed correctly.

Install Checks Before You Cut

• Confirm the correct Starlink model and connector style before ordering.

• Check the cut-out location carefully before drilling or cutting into a caravan, RV, canopy or vehicle body.

• Confirm there is enough clearance behind the panel for the recessed body and cable bend radius.

• Seal the installation correctly for the surface material and exposure conditions.

• Do not use this part as a structural mount or load-bearing cable restraint.
